Our client, a luxury fashion group, is hiring an Assistant Buyer to join their team in NYC on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office).
Job Duties Include:
- Assist with making product assortments and seasonal plans based on needs, sales, trends, and ad campaigns
- Work with team to develop buy plans to achieve sales, margin, and inventory objectives
- Analyze sales trends to support during buying campaigns and throughout the season to drive sales and inform purchasing decisions
- Distribute weekly selling reports and ad-hoc monthly recaps as needed
- Monitor sales performance to identify trends
- Provide operational and administrative support as needed including creating presentations, scheduling meetings, and compiling product information
- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure timely delivery of merchandise
- Schedule feedback touchpoints to ensure merchandise supply meets demand and necessary feedback is addressed
- Create training calendar and schedule trainings
- Educate sales on upcoming collections
- Communicate merchandising strategies based on buy, sell-through expectations, trends, etc.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify relevant trends
Job Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years of Men's RTW Buying experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, with strong Excel skills
- Financial acumen and strong understanding of retail math
- Strong knowledge of luxury market and fashion trends
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to analyze sales, provide appropriate recommendations and apply learnings
- Detail oriented and strong communication skills
Salary: $80k annually + bonus potential
