Our client, a restaurant delivery & takeout company, is hiring a Senior Accountant to join their team in NYC on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office). This is a temporary, full-time role, with potential for conversion to a permanent role based on performance and the needs of the business. This person will will take ownership of key accounting functions and contribute to broader financial initiatives, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial data.
Job Duties Include:
- Manage core accounting areas, including prepaid expenses, cash reconciliations, operating expense accruals, etc.
- Assist in implementing an accounting module within ERP system
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and journal entries
- Maintain and enforce company’s accounting policies
- Prepare financial statement disclosures
- Support special projects, process optimizations, ERP enhancements, internal controls, and ad hoc analyses
- Additional duties as needed and assigned
Job Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills (SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMPRODUCT, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and experience working with large data sets
- ERP experience preferred, especially with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations)
- Proactive with a results-driven mindset and a hands-on approach
- A team player who values learning and development
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Salary: $42.30/hr - $50.48/hr
