Our client, a luxury fashion brand, is looking to hire a temporary Accountant to join the team at their corporate office in New York City on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office). This is a full-time, temporary position that will start immediately and continue based on performance and the needs of the business.
Job Duties Include:
- Complete month and year end close and financial reporting
- Perform bank reconciliation, clearing reconciling items, and assist with process changes
- Perform analysis and recording of all adjusting entries for proper inventory valuation in accordance with GAAP, including depreciation, losses, and inter-company movements
- Prepare analysis and reconciliation of accounts related to all assigned areas and companies on a monthly basis
- Analyze account activity to identify errors and make corrections and re-classes as needed
- Assist in audits as required, including tax audits
- Assist in development of new accounting processes as necessary and work to improve existing processes and procedures for greater efficiency and more accurate and timely reporting
- Ad hoc duties as needed and assigned
Job Qualifications Include:
- B.S. in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred but not required.
- 1+ years of related experience
- Fluency in Spanish
- Working knowledge of Inventory and Fixed Asset Accounting
- Retail industry experience and/or multinational company experience are a plus
- Intermediate Excel Skills including pivot tables, v-lookups, and formulas
- Detail and deadline oriented
- Strong mutli-tasking skills
Salary: $26/hour
