Week 8. Two months of virtual work, on-screen meetings, and remote teams brought together by a unified effort to push forward through this challenging time.
Have you seen the Friend’s episode with Ross and the couch- the “Pivot” episode? Well, readers, we are Ross. The couch is the future, and the stairwell is full of the challenges we have all faced during this pandemic. I am encouraged by the quick adjustments made by teachers nationwide to continue to educate our children. By office teams to come up with communication methods that allow us to work at home successfully. For the community of people across the world that have banded together to stay home, and stay safe so that those on the front-lines can continue to fight this battle.
In order to get the couch up the stairs and in the door, we need to pivot. Easier said than done right? Last week I talked about growing teams in the wake of this virus. Today, I am focused and committed to learning about what provisions need to be made to pivot forward so companies can make each employee on their valued team feel safe- internally and externally.
Retail brands begin to challenge the norm and offer appointment only services, companies begin to look at what reopening an office means to elevator rides, kitchen spaces, and cleanliness monitoring. Still others begin the concept of a virtual office continuing on as the new normal of operations - some that have never even had virtual offices before.
I am curious- what provisions will make you comfortable as we begin the reopening process? Learning about what will help all of our comfort levels will help us pivot and begin this new chapter.
Thank you in advance for your responses. Together we will get through the doorway!
