This week, we are proud to announce our involvement with Bottomless Closet- an NYC based charity that provides professional services to women in need. Likewise, as part of our internal Spring Cleaning initiative, we are gathering professional attire and accessories to donate to Bottomless Closet. Clothing Drives and Coaching
PCG has participated in more than one clothing drive for Bottomless Closet, and it’s so simple- you can too! Bottomless Closet is currently accepting warmer professional attire, perfect for those trying to clear out their closet after the cold winter season! Particularly, Bottomless Closet seeks attire in sizes 0 and 14+. They accept all types of professional clothing like blazers, skirts, blouses, and more. Additionally, they even accept accessories like nice handbags, belts, and unopened makeup products. Find more specific drive info here . What’s a great interview outfit without the skills to match? Bottomless Closet’s interview coaching program allows women to set up one on one career prep. Furthermore, volunteers will review resumes and create mock interviews.
Workshop Curriculum
Bottomless Closet offers lesson and classes focused on getting ahead in the job world. The courses fall into three separate categories: Financial Management, Professional Development, and Personal Enrichment. Likewise, each of the courses is designed to help women in various aspects of her future career. Financial Management offers classes like budgeting, student loans, and buying a home. Meander through Professional Development and you’ll find goal setting and networking, among many others. The Personal Enrichment section allows women to choose from book club, theater outings, and travel planning. Most importantly, all courses are free and most classes also offer dinner or a light meal.
