Rethink your resume & cover letter
With a few extra hours in your day, why not take some time to rethink your resume and cover letter. Even if it’s glancing over your job descriptions, gearing the language towards positions you may way to work on in the future, or even giving it a design reboot, there has never been a better time to kick your professional representation up a notch!
Need a bit of guidance in this department? Our PCG recruiters are an excellent resource if you’re looking for a big of help! Feel free to send your resume to our team by emailing resume@pyramidcg.com.
Learn a new skill or brush up on existing ones
Online learning has made learning a new skill (or brushing up on some existing ones!) easier than ever. Learning platforms like Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, and General Assembly offer free online classes that cover everything from mastering excel spreadsheets, to understanding the basics of JavaScript – and even some more non-traditional online classes, like knitting or music.
Remember to take time for yourself
In times of uncertainty, it certainly is easy to get wrapped up in the craziness. One thing that is important to remember is to, obviously, take care of yourself! Throughout the day, make sure you take some time for yourself – to do something you love! Whether it’s running outside, baking a fresh batch of homemade cookies, reading a chapter of a new book, or doing a bit of yoga – make sure to do something you enjoy that stimulates your mind, body, or both!
We've been hopping on Citi Bikes after dinner every night, with our face masks, and enjoying the lower Manhattan bike paths. –Liza Park, Senior Account Director
Running a few miles over the course of the week and doing online workouts has become my “me time”. I love staying active – it helps me clear my mind and allows me to let out a little steam at the end of the day.” – Haley Tanella, Marketing Manager
Take an internet break
No seriously – do it! If you can, step away from the news, internet, and even your phone for a short break during your day. Not only will this help you keep a clear head, but can actually help boost your mood and even clear your schedule for some time with yourself, your family, or that list of chores you meant to get to. Stay positive!
