This past weekend, members of the Pyramid Consulting Group team participated in a virtual walk in honor of She’s the First! From New York City to Puerto Rico and Boston, PCG employees participated across the country in this walk to raise awareness for women’s education.
She’s the First, the non-profit organization that the walk benefitted, “fights gender inequality by supporting girls who will be the first in their families to graduate high school and by training students everywhere to be global citizens,” according to their mission statement. By providing quality tools, mentors and support systems, insight into the work of international programs, and networking to create an expansive network of participating schools, She’s the First is able to provide quality education to deserving young girls across the world.
Through our charity involvement program, Pyramid Possibilities, PCG is able to partner with amazing non-profit organizations that share the same core values as us! And because of Pyramid Possibilities, we are able to connect with groups and organizations, not only throughout the world in different locations, but also through different types of service.
"What I love most about Pyramid Possibilities is that even though we work with a diverse group of charities, though them all you can find hope. Hope for better education, hope to end hunger issues, hope to bring to have clean drinking water, and hope that the people receiving our donations can create a better life for themselves,” said Lauren, Pyramid Consulting Group’s Senior Director of Marketing and Innovation. “It’s amazing to come together as a team and provide opportunities for those that are unable to help themselves, that is a feeling of impact that we always strive for each year.”
This year, PCG hosted a “Sweat for STF” virtual walk in an effort to raise funds to become a Girl Champion, which would cover the cost of tuition, empowerment programs, and boarding, as well as show support for equality in education. The team worked to raise funds and also participated in the walk - virtually!
One of our recruiters, Juan Rivera, weighed in on his thoughts about this year’s fundraising efforts. “This virtual walk gave us the opportunity to raise awareness of our initiative through the most effective way possible in this day in age: Social Media!”
PCG is continuing to raise money to become a Girl Champion! Learn more about our Pyramid Possibilities Partnership with She’s the First here !
