March 8 th is International Women’s Day! As a company who was founded by female executives, we at Pyramid Consulting Group takes pride in working with strong, motivated women as well as empowering women and young girls to achieve their goals in life. We also understand the absolute importance of giving back to groups and organizations that share the ideas and work to withhold the same morals as we do. Through our charity involvement program, Pyramid Possibilities, we have been able to give back to so many women through fantastic and supportive non-profit organizations, especially She’s The First and Bottomless Closet – two organizations that strive to support and empower women, both in both domestic and international locations.
She’s The First
Founded in 2009 by Tammy Tibbetts and Christen Brandt, She’s The First is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting “girls who will be the first in their families to graduate high school and trains student everywhere to be global citizens,” in an effort to empowered women all over the world!
STF believes that women are unstoppable – and we agree! Their strong belief in educating young women and girls helps them develop into amazing human beings. With an education, according to STF, young women earn 20% more on average per year of schooling, are more likely to establish healthy relationships, have healthy children later in life, and are more likely to make a worldly change themselves.
“They are a perfect match for PCG, a woman-run business,” said Pyramid Consulting Group’s Senior Director of Marketing and Innovation, Lauren Schuman, “it makes me so proud to know that there [are] young wom[e]n out there in the world getting an education because of us.”
Bottomless Closet
In an effort to support women during their job search, Bottomless Closet was founded to provide women, who otherwise would not have access to nice clothing, with fashion-forward and trendy fashion to wear during upcoming job interviews.
And while providing fashionable clothing at a reasonable price is their main forte, Bottomless Closet also provide education curriculum classes and workshops at the NYC-based offices.
“Being a part of a company that is primarily women, as well as solely founded and owned by a woman, I am a huge supporter of Bottomless Closet,” said our Director of People and Operations, Jennifer Goldrick.
