March is Women’s History Month and for the next week, we, at Pyramid Consulting Group, will be celebrating the work of amazing and dedicated women and their influential impact on the modern-day workforce.
We sat down with a few women from women-run businesses all across the country to learn more about their individual experiences and what it means to be a woman in the workplace.
To start off this week, we spoke with the CEO and founder of Pyramid Consulting Group, Allyson Goodman! Since she first founded PCG in 2003, Allyson demonstrated that she is a pioneer in the recruiting world and has shown that businesses can thrive under the leadership of strong and hard-working women.
When asked about why she thinks that PCG has set itself apart from other staffing agencies, Goodman credited the unique approach and training of internal recruiters that have helped this women-founded company succeed for close to a decade and a half.
“I think what sets us apart is our approach to hiring and the process,” said Goodman. “We know that there is nothing transactional about a job change, and that never gets lost in our process.”
Goodman stated that she feels very lucky to work in an industry that truly acknowledges the success of women in modern-day business endeavors.
“I feel so fortunate to work in an industry that can allow women to have fulfilling, successful careers, and can still provide a meaningful work/life balance,” said Goodman.
Similar to other female-founded organizations, PCG has always been a strong advocate for pushing women to achieve great success in their careers and also encourages women to take on leadership roles.
“I think it’s essential for a woman to pave their own path with their own financial stability to create strong self-sufficiency,” said Goodman. “I couldn’t be prouder to work alongside such a smart, courageous and inspiring team of women. They are shining examples of strength and resilience.”
Whether this Women’s History Month or any month, Goodman feels strongly about the essential balance between succeeding in a career and leading healthy, meaningful lives outside of the office.
“I am incredibly grateful to have an organization where women can not only propel themselves into leadership roles but also create a healthy balance to be the best they can be at both. I am a believer that you can have it all when it’s done with care, thoughtfulness, and perseverance.”
